Viens Mallika (Flower duet from the Opera Lakmé) – Score and parts

18,00

Description

Léo Delibes opera Lakmé was first performed in 1883, the year after Wagner’s Parsifal, but it comes from an entirely different world. It is a thoroughly conservative opera, constructed from separate numbers (including ballets) that are supported by an orchestra that rarely strays from the role of accompanist. The Flower Duet is definitely the most well-known part from the opera and even nowadays used in movies and commercials as well.

Arranged for small symphony orchestra (1111/1010/Str), soprano and mezzo soprano.
