The Overture opus 10 is an overture for orchestra by Albéric Magnard, composed between August 1894 and August 18951.The overture was not premiered until several years later, on May 14, 1899 at the Nouveau-Théâtre de Paris, along with the Chant funèbre, the final version of Symphony No. 2 and of Symphony No. 3. The work, in A major, is dedicated to Louis Arnavon. Its average execution time is approximately twelve minutes.
